Clear orange amber with creamy white head. Good grapefruit and pine aroma and taste with some alcohol notes to the finish.

GABF 2006: Listed as 8%. Slightly hazy amber color with a thin white head. Hop foward with earthy and piney notes. The flavor was a blend a caramel and earthy hops. Big full hop bitterness that start from the very beginning of the flavor and runs all the way through the finish.

Cask into pint, Real Ale Fest 2005. Very hazy orange with fizzy large bubbled white head. The lacing and racing are both very unimpressive; my official festival notes say they "suck." Orange and grapefruit hops smell with some yeasty and spicy accents; I wrote that this smells like a light Belgian Strong, which doesn’t mean much as that style is all over the place. Tastes strongly of ruby red grapefruit, nice and juicy; the flavor miraculously intensifies in the finish. Not much in the way of bittering hops, but it could be that they are overwhelmed by the juicy fruitiness of this beer. The finish isn’t as dry as I like. The low level of sweetness is a good move, lets the good things about this beer shine without distraction. Very solid beer.

cloudy bronze pour white head w/ a thick lace. Smells sweet carmel & passion fruit & citrus. Palate is full & creamy Flavor is fruity: passion frtuit & grapefruit. a light dry bitter finish and a good carmel malt backbone make this a darn good drink.

The first great beer of the day. It pours to a hazy glowing brass/bronze body with a white head and nice lacing. The flavor is juicy hops that are citrusy with mangoes, oranges, lemons. Clean and balanced by a ton of caramel malt. The aroma is peaches, mangoes, oranges. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth, tasty. If you’re going to goto this brewpub, get a pint of this and skip the other stuff.
