hawkeye720 (3), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, United States Virgin Islands does not count Apr 17, 2008 This beer is very cleen and smooth with a hint of carmel. one of the smoothiest lagers I’ve tasted thus far. Would be very enjoyable on a hot summer day. tbsween (1), USA does not count Apr 7, 2008 I base my rating on the usability of this product which should be focused towards the millions of celiacs whose opinions are the ones that really matter here. I have personally asked many who love this product, especially compared to Redbridge. As a lager compared to other regular gluten-included lagers, I found it remarkably drinkable and savory. unclemattie (1424), Georgia, USA Mar 24, 2008 12oz bottle. Orange copper color. Clear. Thin white head. Aroma is of bread, grain, canned corn, and urine! Flavor is a nice malt character, very bready. I thought it was an ale until I read the Commercial Description. It is refreshing but not something I would drink all the time unless I had to. Thank God I’m not allergic to gluten. SB (287), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 23, 2008 From Bottle. Poured golden. Very fizzy, bubbly white head, that dissipated very fast. Aroma of grain, and corn, and semi-sweet. Flavor was like a sweet bread, spiciness in the end with lingering aftertaste like butterscotch. Light bodied. Over the top carbonation. Texture was light and watery. cheapdark (1454), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 11, 2008 Nope, from the beginning has more personality than a regular old lager. Has a candy like fragrance. This is more like an ale, offensive, just like most ale. Has that ale character that makes it a prominent arrival on the palate. Much more offensive and ale-like compared to regular old american pale lagers. Has a rather malty personality that makes it feel much more than 4.7%. Also may i say this is darker and more orangish than the typical pale yellow lager. I would say this is more than a pale yellow lager, it is equal to many ales in personality, after all, it is an ale!
