Laughing Lab has a nourishing maltiness that comes from six specialty malts. Its nutty, roasted flavor is mildly sweet, but not too rich. Smooth and luscious!

12 oz. bottle, from the bottle. Thanks, Steve! Good malty character, with notes of peat, cereal, and hay. Sweet flavor, with a minimal bitterness. Light to medium body, grainy, lightly carbonated, and crisp and clean. This is a fun, malty, and approachable beer.

Sampled as GABF 2015. In the tasting glass pours amber with almost no foam. Nose of caramel malts. Medium body. Flavor is malts and some floral hops. Some bite in finish. The label is too much like Laughing Dog Brewery for me to be comfortable.

From a 12 oz bottle into a Mad Elf tulip glass. Pours brown with small head and lace. Aroma of caramel malts, malt balls. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of amber malts, caramel, minerals, peat, young melon. Overall flavorful although light on the malt, but not bad.

A basic Scottish ale. A little nutty which adds more to the mouthfeel and smoothness. It’s sweet and light, not rich at all.

Mild aroma of raisin and malt. Standard burnt bronze color. Light palate and too watery. Bland flavors with caramel standing out a bit. Almost Scottish Light.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear bright copper brown with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like caramel, nutty, roasted malt, and sweet citrus hops. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like roasted malt, caramel, nutty, a hint of vinegar, and citrus hops.

12 oz. bottled March 2015. Pours clear chestnut brown with a lasting film of cream. Mild aromas of cherry cola, toasted nut and cocoa with a slight earthy note. Tastes of caramel cola, cocoa, and cherry. Light-medium body is a little too sweet even for the style.
