MaxxDaddy (205), New York, New York, USA Apr 9, 2008 Bottle shared by puzzl. Light brown pour with not much head. Aroma is brett for sure with some dark malts coming through. Taste is nicely malty with plums and other dark fruits as the main flavor. Not that sour to the taste but no problems there. I don’t think I’d want a legitimately sour quad anyway. Though I haven’t tried the big guns yet, this is the best version of a quad that I’ve tried. Quite tasty. puzzl (1500), New York, New York, USA Apr 5, 2008 Bottle from Sprinkle. Thanks! Pour is dark brown with little head. Strong, bretty aroma, dark malts, savory herbs. Lots of malt, light sour, a touch of plum in the flavor. Plummy, full malt flavor, only touch of sour, fairly complex but at the same time not too exciting. There is a bit of plum in the flavor but its not too noticeable, really. Tasty and different. Thanks, Mike. bu11zeye (3464), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 31, 2007 (Draught) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma of brett, oak, vanilla, and caramel. iowaherkeye (1306), Back in Iowa City!, Iowa, USA Oct 9, 2007 Notes from GTMW ’06. Hazed brown orange with a moderate light beige head. Aroma of oak, vanilla, brett, and sour cherries. Flavor has some big warming ETOH, otherwise much the same as the aroma. The oak and vanilla are a little bit stronger. Medium body with moderate smooth carbonation. Very good.
