COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Botella. Muchísima espuma... ha caído al suelo al abrirla. Color amarillo tirando a ámbar turbio. Aroma agradable a malta con toques afrutados. Recuerdos a pera y cereza. En boca hay una explosión de sabores, predominando el dulce. Viene cereal, viene pera, viene cereza, .... , amargor final y golpe alcohólico. Muy buena cerveza.

Exceptional beer. Popping the lid off the ceramic bottle provides the first burst of scent and a protrusion of foam. From the pour the juicy foaminess of this beer is present along with fruity and spicy but soft aromas. The first sip reveals a wonderful fullness in the balanced flavors with coconut, pomello and earth coming through before a later focus on the sugary yeasts and finally a long drawn out hoppy finish. Later tastes and swallows back this up and reinforce a wonderful drink.

A golden coloured beer with a strong lingering head. A really consistent poppy carbonation with a lingering aftertaste.

330 ml bottle - Faint hints of a Witbeir with the strong butter kick in the back of the throat. Lovely popping carbonation throughout.

Golden, thin head, dry-fruity nose, classic extra strong Belgian pale, honeyed golden malt, peppery bitterness.

From bottle. Served a bit cold at abort 7 degrees C. Pours golden with a big white head. Lemon aroma at first. As it warms up, the belgian yeast aromas become more pronounced. Taste slightly sweet with a bit of bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Cannery Row BC. Pours a golden color with a bit of head. Nice mild hoppiness and some Belgian yeast flavor.

10/1/2007 2:37:58 PM Bottle at home. Really enjoyed this one. Murky color, lemony scent. Very tall head and quite carbonated. Sweet, fruit tastes of citrus and apples but also quite punchy. A spicy, solid finish. Classy ceramic bottle with a cool elephant. I’m a fan.

White, medium, long-lasting head. Chrystal clear golden yellow. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Intense, strong, malty, exotic fruits. Crispy carbons. Rich and tasty.

Spora niezbyt trwała piana, średnio oczkowa, barwa złota, lekko opalizująca, piwo ładnie pracuje w szkle. Zapach z butelki delikatny, sporo estrów owocowych - brzoskwinia, żółta porzeczka, białe winogrono, są też delikatne cytrusy z cytryną i mandarynką, troszkę nut trawiastych - fajnie i rześko. Wysycenie nieco powyżej średniego, dodające lekkości i pijalności.
