pootzboy (841), Calgary/ Kitchener, Alberta, Canada Feb 7, 2008 1/2 liter can....no freshness code
Pours a pale gold with a smallish white cap, modest lacing, heavy carbonation.
Aroma is faint...leafy-grassy light whisp of citrus and biscuit malt.
Thin and spritzy...light on malts, slightly bitter and dry with a clean finish kappldav123 (749), Markkleeberg, Germany Jan 13, 2008 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Very zippy, fine foam. The aroma is a little bit alcoholic. The flavor is modest sourish, a little bit spicy. Drinkable and good beer. Quinten (631), zaandam, Netherlands Jan 8, 2008 Golden colour, thin head, Aroma of grassy malt is pleasant but a bit weak overall. Taste of semi-sweet malt with low hops level makes this beer rather boring. JesseM (290), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jan 6, 2008 500ml can from one of the only decent beer stores I know of. Pours a nice golden pilsner colour, with the classic large German white, fluffy head. Aroma: Nice and fruity, with the typical floral hoppiness. Taste: More or less the exact same as the aroma, with some biscuity malts and a surprisingly nice Noble hop bite thrown in. Nothing spectacular, nothing unique, just a nice tall refreshing glass of a German Pilsener, which is exactly what I was expecting. And in that sense, it is beautiful in it’s simplicity. Amongst other imported options around here, this one is a pretty good example of this style IMHO, and I tend to consider myself a lager-lover of sorts. rodenbach99 (309), Longueuil, Quebec, Canada Dec 18, 2007 canette de 500ml.
