I tried this beer on February 14, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. The beer poured a reddish-brown with a very thin whitish coloured head. The aroma was malty, with some caramel sweetness. The mouthfeel was light, almost watery, and highly carbonated. The flavour is mainly malty, with a slight sweetness that gives way to some bitterness. matt7215 (409), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Feb 12, 2008 341 ml bottle. pours very dark redbrown with a medium tan head that fades quickly. lots of very tiny bubble carbonation. aromas very small but consist of dark malts, caramel, a touch of chocolate, barley. flavours are exactly like the aromas and also very thin and watery. not bad for a lager but overall forgetable. Earlier Rating: 12/19/2007 Total Score: 1.7 on tap at tuckers market place. served with no head and little carbonation. very dark brown. aromas almost not there until warmed almost all the way to room temp. small roasted malt flavours. very forgetable. The_Jester (427), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jan 10, 2008 341 mL bottle. Dark mahogany brown with a small beige head (fades quickly to a ring). Mild aroma of plums and prunes, some sweetness. The flavour is quite mild - sweet, some nuttiness, not really any roast. Not much there. Thin body (not dry at all) and medium carbonation. Okay. Not bad. JoeMcPhee (3466), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Dec 2, 2007 Tap at C’est What? Deep amber beer with a very creamy white head. Fruity aroma of berries and light cherry/plums. Light nutty sweetness. Nutty malts and a lingering fruity finish. Not very lagerish to me.
