austinpowers (2813), New York, New York, USA May 5, 2008 Bottle at Smokeless Joe in Toronto. An uneventful blonde bitter. Not much going on here. Grassy. Thin. I liked it, but there’s not much here to get psyched about. Sammy (2769), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 2, 2008 Golden colour with a bit of white head. Aroma on the cheesy side. Chewy and malty. Interesting, not too sweet but it is sweet. Smokeless Joes. Miksu (1045), Jyväskylä, Finland May 1, 2008 0.5 l bottle. Pale amber color with medium head. Malty and honeyish aroma. Malty, grainy, toasty and honeyish flavor with some tart fruitiness and notes of apricot. Slightly astringent and dry finish with mouthcoating minerals. mirjukka (130), LOHJA, Finland Apr 28, 2008 500ml bottle (Opus K, Lohja) 280308 shared with FatPhil & Anna

I tried this beer on April 4, 2008 at “Smokeless Joe’s” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a dark translucent gold colour with a fluffy white head that quickly died. The aroma was mainly grassy malt, but there was a hoppish hint. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was also a combination of grainy malt, with some bitter hoppiness thrown in for good measure. Definitely a better beer than both the Red Cuillin and the Black Cuillin.
