Great thanks to Papsoe for sharing!
Hazy dark amber color. Sweet malt aroma with a very light impression of apples. It has a full mouthfeel, with full malt flavor, quite sweet (but the least of the 4 special editions), classic English Barley Wine, with minimum bitterness; if possibly, there is a light sourness too. The least syrupy at the end, with some caramel and bitterness to create a good balance. The most balanced one. Excellent.

Bottle. [After party @ Papsoe, thanks buddy] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Light cloudy amber color. Aroma of wood, vanilla, dryness, mild fruity and vinous. Not quit as sweet aroma as the port and Sherry casket. Over the palate came the sweet sugary vinous and alcoholic. Full bodied with a soft carbonation and thick alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness. Heavy sweet lingering wood like dry finish. 8 / 3 / 8 / 4 / 16

2004 provided by J.O. Thanks amigo. This is a luscious brew indeed. Pour thick and opaque with a brownish amber hue. No lacing at all but the aromatics are high and very intense. Smells of aged darkfruit, applesauce, caramel, and fruitcake. Full nectar with creamy residual effers. This stuff is dense as I choke on it. Aged nectarine, plumb, peach, citrus, wild apple, brandy, moist carrot cake bread, toast, etc. Very complex and generous with a mild bittering component. This stuff is beautiful.

2006 bottle. Clear copper with a fleeting head. Nice malty sweet, smoky yeasty Wonder Bread aroma. Thick syrupy mouthfeel. Taste mirrors the aroma with heavy sweet cotton candi and citrusy lime. The smoke and yeasty Wonder Bread flavor kicks in for the finish. BTW i hated Wonder Bread when i was a kid...

2003 Bottle. This beer was spectacular. Tasted of dark fruits and sugar with a great alcohol undertone. Amazingly strong and complex ale.
