Commercial Description:
Vienna style amber lager with a light copper color and nice malt sweetness. Rich, creamy and medium to full bodied, this lager uses seven different malts and three varieties of imported and domestic hops

Editor's note: A recipe formerly brewed by Independence Brewing in Philadelphia (defunct since 2000), and ressurrected for the 300. anniversary of Benjamin Franklin's birth by Lancaster Brewing Company.

Pint @ Lancaster Harrisburg. Orange copper colored body. Slick, wet palate, basic flavors of cracked barley, sweet caramel malt, a touch of brown sugar and rye, similar smell. Nothing spectacular, somewhat simple, and a little coarse/grainy, which I don’t like so much in Vienna. Tasted really similar to the Spring Bock.

On draft at GL. Pours a light clear coppery orange with a medium beige head. Aroma of grain, wheat and faint hops. Slight malty taste with hints of grain, wheat and faint hops. Has a tangy aftertaste.

On tap. Poured a deeper orange color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of bread, citrus, and caramel. Tastes follow suit with a light fruitiness. Thinner body.

Draft at LBC...pours a reddish-amber with no head...smell was mild, grainy, metallic, a bit grassy...taste was fresh with a bit of hop and some clove in the background...a decent brew...a change from my norm.

titled Fest beer at the brew pub, a very standard vienna, not bad at all. It’s pretty tasty! An amber color, more on the malty side than the hoppy side, this would be a nice fall beer.
