Even in 1895, Porter was brewed from the mountain spring in Löbau, and it was a beloved drink in the Lausitz. With our Lausitzer Porter, we successfully continue this brewing tradition. Across the land, the legendarily sweet taste of this unique dark beer has found friends among connoisseurs of dark brews.

Black colour. Nice bottle. And that’s it. Lemonade sweet and malty no trace of beer in there. Not good.

Bottle from Berlin drank round Shimmer’s, The Dump, Nuneaton. Slim necked mahogany becoming headless. Nose rust, Twiglets, chocolate powder, brown sugared black coffee. That saccharine overly spooned sugared schwarz thing again with sticky black coffee spilled on rust. Twang of praline. Works well with Toblerone but overall a waste of suitcase space. Way too sweet to be credible.

0,5l Bottle. Appearance: Dark red to brown, clear, with white head that quickly disappears. Aroma :rice bread, with roasted tones hint of caramel. Taste: very sweet reminding me of even sweeter version of Grolsch Oud Bruin with no complexity. A lot of sweeets malts and caramel and that’s it.. Thin body, average carbonation.

The beer looks like cola, the color is dark brown and the foam is a little of white and comes in a small quantity. For a beer that has Porter on the label in a huge font, I expect to have a nice beer filled with roasted barley and dark bitter aroma’s. This is the opposite. The smell has metal in it and is a little by to sweet. There is a malty bready bitterness, not very nice. The beer misses a mouth sensation. It is really flat, way to little gas. The taste is bad. To sweet and bready. It reminds me a lot of the Oettinger Malz from earlier today. Just like that beer, this one is going down the drain instead of down the throat.

Bottle. Dark red to brown, clear, with white head that quickly disappears. Aroma of rice bread, with roasted notes. Taste is sweet, and nothing more. Awful beer (if it can be called a beer).

Flasche („Lausitzer Porter“, 50 cl) aus einem Berliner Edeka-Markt. - Tiefes Rotbraun, klar; rasch schwindender Schaum.

Keinerlei ausgewogen. Im Abgang bitter, aber wenig lecker. Eigenartig.
