Sledge Jr (2692), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 22, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. No head. Pale yellow. Very faint malt aroma. Slightly flowery. This tastes as close to Schaefer Light as you’ll ever see in a brewpub beer. Medium carbonation and a quick finish. Sugar beets? This is clean and flawless, I’ll admit, but still very grainy at room temp. This was the first beer served to me at this brewpub in a sampler and I was convinced that this was going to be a short afternoon at a real dog ass of a brewpub. Boy, was I wrong. This is the only sucky beer at this place. A large group of Russian tourists came into the bar and each ordered a pint of this, took a couple of sips and left their beers on the table. I think that says it all. Barnabus (26), Niagara, Ontario, Canada Jun 15, 2008 222mL bottle from the OCB discorvery pack one. Unlike many, I actually liked the aroma (like sweet straw in an apple orchard). I could do without the head though (which does not lace at all). I appreciated the long sweet finish (with a touch of bitterness). jjpm74 (2653), Connecticut, USA May 26, 2008 Stubby courtesy of matt7215. Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of perfume, some caramel. Tastes of lemons and dry malt with a crisp finish. Ungstrup (10776), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 13, 2008 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet, but also with a light skunky note - is it the clear bottle or the hops? THe flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of straw, but also hints of skunkyness. cyrenaica (252), Milton, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2008 222ml bottle

I tried this beer on April 30, 2008 after purchasing an assorted 6 pack of Ontario Craft Brews from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a generous white head which settled down immediately. Tons of effervescence. The smell was very very sour. Almost a turn off. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied, lots of carbonation. The flavour was a ton of grain with a little bit of hops. Not a beer I would try again.
