May 4, 2008 Copper-gold with fair, white head / Nose of grain and honey / Light, high carbonation, watery, with decent, bitter finish / Flavors of grain with hint of honey, and with enjoyable, bitter finish / A little weak and lacking in Vienna character.

Apr 27, 2008 On draft at PNC Park. Solid beer to have at a ballgame. Dark golden to light amber with a white head. Subdued but pleasant noble hop and grain nose. Flavor has notes of bread, grain, some caramel, grassy hops and a little hay. Some hop bitterness in there for balance. Medium, smooth body with moderate carbonation. Not exciting but a fine ballgame beer. Definitely not a pils, though - not sure why they call it Penn Pilsner.
