May 9, 2008 Bottle courtesy of DarkElf. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of soy sauce, oak, some bourbon. Tastes of caramel, toffee, vanilla, spicy. Mouthfeel is slick with a chocolatey finish. Strange brew.

May 4, 2008 Thanks to Drewbeerme for sharing this at Pre-DLD celebration at Flossmoor. Black wih tan head. Aroma is sweet bourbon with strong malty fruit notes, dark fruit amd cherry barrelness. Bourbon fruit flavor with sweet plum, very barrel forward. Medium, syrupy body. I can dig it, but its a little unbalanced. Thanks Andrew.

May 2, 2008 What a beer run I am on alexander now this. Thanks eagle. Poured a pitch black color and chocolate head which left a nice ring. Aroma was Oaky burbon and chocolate. Flavor was pefect, and followed the aroma plus molasses. Another great beer by Port.

Apr 28, 2008 Sampled from bottle at Pre-DLD! Oh, yes. Very black and oily. Nose shows some nice fruits that in the wrong hands could make it taste like cough syrup, but not here. Instead, some nice plums and currants. A little roastiness that tends it toward a stout. A great warmer of a beer.
