Plimmer (176), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 19, 2008 Bottle 33cl. Clear golden body with a small white head. Sweet citrus in the nose. A touch of hops and sweet malt in the light flavour. Papsoe (9242), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 7, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Clear, golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving some laces. Fresh, lightly citrusy aroma. Light-bodied with sweetish malt accents and a discreet bitterness in the finish. Not too bad for a light Pale Lager. 280108 TheGrandMaster (1342), Auckland, New Zealand Jan 31, 2008 Bottle, pours a clear dark gold with a white frothy head. An unoffensive sweet malt aroma, with some metalicness. A thin and dry palate with a neutral hoppy flavour, wiht increasing carbonation with the swallow. For a lower alcohol lager, it passes. Saarlander (1440), The Saarland, Germany Jan 24, 2005 This beer was better than regular Steinlager to me, although a bit watery. It tastes pretty good for only 2.5% Good head, and a bit of skunkyness when opened, just like the regular one SDbruboy (1754), San Diego, California, USA Sep 24, 2004 Bottle. Pours clear and yellow with a rocky white head that lingers a bit and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is noticibly skunky, with light malts and grassy hops. Slightly sweet with a hop bite - pretty watery and bereft of flavor but what there is, is pretty good for the style. Light body and refreshing prickly carbonation.
