nimrod (53), USA May 6, 2008 Bottle poured deep amber, quickly dissapating head, and excellent lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, hoppy, some bread, citrus, spice, and some sweet malt. The taste is an amazing balance of the aroma, hops, and smooth aftertaste that leaves your mouth tingling. A definite favorite with the right amount of sweet malt, hops, floural aroma, and piny aftertaste. CaptBier (197), Birmingham, Alabama, USA May 4, 2008 Bottle and Tap at FFF. Sweet, strong hop aroma. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Flavor is strong of Centennial hops. Smooth and easy to drink but almost closer to an IPA because of the hop characters. kiefdog (67), Tampa, Florida, USA May 4, 2008 Bottle opened by owner of Oldsmar Tap House (Florida). Pours a golden amber color with a thin white head that gracefully laces the glass. Aroma is deep citrus, hops, bread and flowers. Flavor is much of the same, with notes of grapefruit and citrus, spice and hints of malt with a bitter finish. pepsican (478), coralville, Iowa, USA May 1, 2008 Amber pour with a soapy white head. Hoppy aroma. Flavor is up front hops with a nice malt balance, some citrus. Finishes mildly bitter, very drinkable. I miss you alpha king, come back to iowa city some day please.
