Bottle courtesy of bytemesis. Pours golden orange with a slight haziness. Very little carbonation. Bright citrusy aroma but it is not strong. Lots of bitterness from the hops, mix of citrus and pine, more pine in the finish. This is nice if you are looking for an intense hop fix but it lacks the sophistication of the best DIPAs.

Pours dark tan with only a bit of head. Lots of hops on the nose with notes of grapefruit, orange, and a bit of resin. The taste was a great balance of sweet and bitter with a crisp finish to make for a very delicious beer

Citrus and pine nose and likewise taste. Very hoppy and bitter yet has some sweetness. Really solid 2x ipa.

Very hoppy aroma, smells sweet and piney. A well balanced double IPA that is obviously bitter, but surprisingly sweet. I could imagine this beer being paired with something like baked goat cheese with honey. One of my favorite double IPA’s.

Poured from bottle. Good lacing on the glass. Nice white head and cloudy unfiltered look. Very hoppy all-around. One of my favorite Double IPAs

Super hazy deep honey coloured body with a bright copper glow and a gold tint, all with a two centimetre thick dense off-white head. Aroma of pungent pine and very resinous hops with a hint of citrus and a lot of malt and alcohol perceptible. Full-bodied; Strong dense malt flavour with a good sweet and resinous flavour with a ton of piney, herbal, grassy and almost sprucey hop flavour - the hops really shine here. Aftertaste is very well balanced with a bunch of sweetness, a lot of malt punch, a good note of alcohol and the hop bitterness which dominates even 5 minutes after a sip. Overall, a great Imperial IPA - definitely one worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Discount Liqour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 05-September-2012 for US$2.99 sampled at home in Washington on 02-December-2012.

Bottle from Mari’s. Pours hazy orange with a finger plus of white head that sticks around, leaves plenty of sticky lacing. The aroma is fairly astringent with some pine, resin, and some citrus notes. This is pretty darn bitter and does dry the mouth out a bit; however, the big citrus burst on the finish balances nicely. the mouthfeel is a little sticky but remains easily drinkable.

Pours a dark golden color with some haze with a 1/2 finger head. Aroma is filled with a lot of sweetness such as pineapple and grapefruit. A lot going on in the aroma with some pine. Taste was first noticed with the earthy grass pine flavor. Not overpowering and follwed by some mild sweetness and finally a mild bitterness. A medium mouthfeel IPA and light mouthfeel overall.

Tap at Fischmans in Chicago served in a classy frosted plastic cup. Who cares, it’s probably a bigger pour than I’d get elsewhere. Full disclosure, I had Stone Ruination 10th Anniversary tonight and used Central Waters Bourbon Stout as a palate changer before drinking this beer. I apologize in advance for this review. Frosty honey colored pour with a foamy white head that seems to lace well. Surprisingly not a big nose. Aroma of mild peach, papaya, and lemon zest. Taste is citrus bitter with pine but upon first sip I’m tempted to describe it as "bready." It’s not bready but very hoppy. Not nearly the beer as Ruination 10 but a good hop bomb nonetheless. Needs more malt.

Aroma is pine, citrus and slightly subdued sweetish malts. The flavor is citrus, a hint of tea, malts and a very bitter finish.
