COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired Wheat ale is crafted from American malted barley, Organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence. 5% ALC/VOL 12º P Ingredients: Pale Malt; Vermont Organic Wheat; American and European Hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Poured a hazy deep golden banana with an active head in a snifter. Great aroma of citrus, light fruits, light funk, straw and wheat. The taste was very fruity, some mild spices, yeasty funk, wheat, cereal grains. Higher carb, light body. Crisp finish. Very good.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy gold with white head. Aroma is quite funky with wheat, citrus fruit, spices. Taste is moderately sour with a nice tart finish. Flavors of sour fruit, citrusy, wheat, grass, earth, herbs. Pretty good saison but not my favorite of the Hill Farmstead ones I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Capped 750 from jredmond. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is funky, earthy, wheaty, but in a good way, wheaty wise. Med body. Flavor is mildly tart/sour fruit. Quite tasty.

Bottle shared by Bhensonb. Pours light golden with a tiny off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a mildly sour wheat flavor with a tart finish. No Belgian yeast esters, makingthis taste more like a sour than a saison.

2015-08-15. Very hazy pale pastel yellow body with a small white head. Aroma is moderate, nice light farmhouse funk. Flavour is similar, lightly acidic, mild wheaty notes and mild funky undertones. Average to light bodied palate, soft carbonation. Quaffable but relatively mild. Would probably gain a point or two not in the middle of a tasting. Bottle at Campground Brewdown.

Poured a pale yellow color with aromas of wheat, light grain, some musk and light husk. Flavors are wheat and light lemon with some funky yeast. Not bad light hay and husk. Solid overall.
