I had this at Caliente Resorts in Tampa, they had it on tap under the name of "Caliente Red". I was underwhelmed when I learned that it was from AB (or is it InBev now?). It poured a fairly clear red, small half inch head. Tasted fairly watery. Very cheap knock-off of a Killian’s. Though for an AB product, I can’t say I’m not impressed I give and E for effort.

I am assuming this is the beer i want to rate, i had this at a restaurant the other night in gainesville called ballyhoo. The beer went by the name of ballyhoo amber and i asked the bartender what it was and she said Anheuser made it for them. So in the light i sat in it poured a reddish color with a thin white head, flavor was pretty subtle, it was malty with slight hop flavor, not much going on with it nothing that stood out too much for me anyways.

At the Fox and Hound in Fort Worth (downtown), they serve a beer called "Red Fox Amber." Couldn’t find it on here, but since the bartender told be that Budweiser brewed it for them, I am assuming this is it. I also assume that all Fox and Hounds have it and that by Budweiser, he meant Anheuser-Busch. Anyway, pours a clear amber-reddish color, with a very frothy, pure white head. Taste is pretty tame with a little caramel malt mixed with a hint of hop bitterness. This would be a good beer to drink a lot of. On tap.

At the Fitzgerald’s Irish Pub in Bonita Springs Florida, we were served Fitzgerald’s Red Lager. It was later learned that this was a contract brew from Anheuser-Busch that was known there as the American Red and that it was a quote white label brew made for distribution to various pubs under their own label. It is assumed that this is that American Red. It poured a small sized head of light brown colored foamy finely sized mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a transparent dark red brown colored softly carbonated body and a fair lacing. Its mouth feel was tingly from the start to the finish. It also had a caramel red malt aroma. The flavor was of red malt, caramel malt flavoring. It would make a good session brew with its easy drinking quaff-ability.

Draft at Tina’s in Cincinnati under the name of Tina’s Red Lips Ale. Was told it was made for them by Budweiser. Poured dark amber with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate balanced malt and hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium sweet flavor with a bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Drinkable at $1.50 a pint.
