Hazy amber/straw color. Big mango on the nose but otherwise mild for a citra single hop.. Palate is great. Drinkability is high here but it’s rather mild hop-wise with little bitterness - I usually never want too much bitterness. Here I could use some. Pretty orangy or kumquatty too.. Great pale ale none the less. #IOWA represent!

Bottle thanks to Wrye, damn, thanks again! Pours a nice and clear deep golden with light white head. Aroma is peach and mango for a mile with a slight resinous citra hop character. Taste is mango puree through and through. Wow. Pale ale?! The peach really opens up and a nice bitter hop character emerges as the beer warms. Not sure why I let it warm in the least. This beer is hands down the best APA I’ve ever had. Zombie Dust? PFFF! The Midwest has definitely cornered the marked on APAs it seems.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2014 Bottle share with Kraddel. Both the 5,8% and 7%. The 7% is less cloudy. Aroma of the 5,8% is more fruity, mango, passion fruit, kiwi. 7% is more intense and bitter and aroma lasts longer. Taste of the 5,8% is fruity mango, kiwi and passion fruit Light to medium bitterness. The 7% tastes less fruity, more bitterness. 5,8% is my favourite.
Shame the 7% is an alias because I’d give it a lower rating. The given rating is for the 5,8%.
Rating for the 7% would be : Ar 7/10, A: 5/5, Taste 7/10, Palate: 4/5, Overall 15/20.

Bottle VS Bottle ( 5,8 next to the 7 ABV ) Thnx to steasy66 ! split bought and tasted with ST247
Both pour blonde. 7 ABV is really clear, 5,8 is bit more fuzzy
Both have good white foam .
Scent ; The 7 ABv is bit more bitter, where the 5,8 is more fruity , and much faster gone .
Taste : 5,8 is PURE kiwi, fleshy kiwi even . Mango, ... A real fruitpunch ! If I ate more fruit, i would probably be able to name many more, this thing is a BOMB . Tiny hints of bitterness . Maybe even a bit TOO fruity for my taste .
7 has more body. As expected bit more bitter, fruityness is more in balance . Still a tastebomb , but way more in balance .
Both are very mango-based, and taste like pure mango-juice . Prob could use more complexity , to be real perfection .

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle, big thanks to Charles for bringing this in to share!! Hazy golden pour, lively head. Nose and flavor are absolutely gorgeous, with huge pink grapefruit, bright lemon zest, blood orange, scallion, garlic, peach, pine, and hints of tropical fruit. Complex and divine, full on the mouthfeel, and at 7% definitely an IPA and not an APA. Still, absolutely fantastic.

Super citrus nose. Pungent bitter citrusy flavor profile, with naturally acidic undertones. Crystal clear appearance. Yummy!

Big thanks to DocJ007 for sharing this one at last nights tasting, my first Toppling Goliath beer.
A - Pours slightly hazy orange with a nice one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving sticky webs of lace down the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of bright citra hops, light caramel sweetness, fresh cut grass and strong fresh zested citric fruit. Much like Zombie Dust this one is all about the citric fruit.
T - Starts off with the dynamic duo of strong citra hop bitterness and fresh tropical fruitiness slowly being joined by the grassiness and some mild caramel sweetness. Finish is bitter with a bit of light sweetness, lingering for a little while after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Crisp, bitter feel from start to finish. Very easy to consume, even with the added ABV.
O - A really nice easy drinking APA. It has everything I love in these hopped up APA’s. I would say this is in my top 3 along with Zombie Dust and Edward. I would love to have this on a regular basis.

Bottle @ home. Thanks, Andy. Amber pour with a dense khaki head. Smells of tea, tart grapefruit, lemon peel, and orange rind. Sweet caramel, feet, and a bit of pine. A bit sweet on the front end of the taste. Lots of caramel, orange, and plenty of grapefruit. Light lemon and tea. Big dank, resinous, pine notes.
