Bottle, Beers of Europe. Another golden beer with Citra in from Oakham, definitely variations around a theme. As expected and no surprises, a bit more maltiness and sweetness given abv, but lots of fresh citrusy hops and a nice bitterness. Good stuff, but I think I might prefer Citra in the lower abv dry golden ales.

Good beer, but not a patch on Citra. Has a much more hoppy bitter taste. Colour: Gold, slightly cloudy with a paper thin white head. Nose: Mango, lychee, citrus and pineapple. Taste: Mango, lychee, grapefruit citrus with a grassy\pine hoppy bitterness. Price Paid: £1. I would try it again.

Appearance is golden and clear with an orange tinge, a very small white head which doesn’t last long. Aroma- fresh tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, fresh hops, summer. Taste- fruity orange, bitter hops, pineapple juice, creamy malt, bitter finish. Clingy hop resiny finish, superb mouthfeel. Very nice British IPA.

A lovely fruity strong ale from one of my favourite breweries Oakham. Although it’s 6% I find it very moreish & easy to drink. Full of flavour & has a lasting head, great ale

(Bottle) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, mango, passion-fruit, floral hops and biscuity malt. Malty, fruity taste with tropical fruit (mango, pineapple, passion-fruit), lemon, grapefruit, biscuits and a fairly dry finish with a generous piney bitterness and fresh floral hops. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty and well made IPA in great balance and with a generous hop presence. Very nice.
