COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PUGACHEV’S COBRA: The brainchild of Victor Pugachev -- not for the faint of heart. Pilot suddenly raises the aircraft nose to near vertical before dropping back to attack mode.

Get ready for an assault on your senses with PUGACHEV’S COBRA, an intense Russian Imperial Stout. This rich, black beauty with a thick caramel head is bursting with aromas of chocolate, vanilla, oak, bourbon, licorice and dark fruits, while flavors of chocolate-covered plum, sweet malt, bourbon, and roasted coffee explode on your pallet. Three different dark roasted malts and rich maple syrup are combined in a truly unique brewing process to create complexity and depth. Once fermented, it’s then aged for eight months in freshly emptied bourbon barrels. This powerful concoction is designed to be enjoyed now with friends or cellared to perfection and savored in the years to come.

Bottle thanks to KærlighedsKlimaet @Dangerous Bottleshares #11. Pours black, but with a dark brown hue. Tiny, brown head. Aroma has huge milk chocolate, coffee, gunpowder, gasoline, sweet licorice, roasty malts, bourbon, very savory and salty. Taste is boozy bourbon sweet up front. Again salty, and then a pretty roasty, bitter finish. Lots of bourbon and booze. Full, oily body, very low carbonation. Nicely balanced sweetness!

750 ml bottle to snifter (2014 vintage). Looks good; a slightly translucent dark cola with beige lacing. Smells good too; dark malt, loads of chocolate, vanilla, oak, and a bit of bourbon. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly boozy medium-full to full-bodied mouthfeel. An awesome big sipper.

18.9% version. Pitch black with brownish head. Aroma is maple, bourbon, vanilla, and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet and rich up front with a finish of hot booze and surprisingly not overwhelmingly sweet. I dig it.

2014. bottle 7259/11220 Pours jet black with little to no indication of head. I can smell this mother fucker from the table. Smells of alcohol, fruit, deep roasted malts, sweet fudge, nougat, bourbon. Decadent nose. Flavor is equally rich. I don’t know I will be able to finish this whole beer, not because of the ABV, but because of how rich the flavors are. Cocoa, fudge, some molasses, bourbon, vanilla, marzipan, oak, alcohol, more fudge. Thick on chewy with low carb and a very syrupy finish. Well, this is a good beer, no doubt, but probably not something I would go nuts over many times.
