October 19, 2013 - gravity cask at Cask Days 2013. Brown-black, cloudy, small tan head. Black IPA all right - gee, wish it were just an IPA, but - stuck record; lush resin, middlin dry roast malt, middlin alcohol - nice balance. Taste follows - tons of resin, a little sweeter than the aroma, but still fairly dry; average body, slick, astringent (very much so), long dry bitter diminishing finish, not overly coating - very very nice one.

Can, 330ml, cork and cask, Edinburgh. Scent is medium caramel malt and lightly bitter. Pours very dense black with a medium tan head subsiding slowly. Scent is medium dense caramel and coffee. Taste is medium caramel and medium toffee with a hint of spices and zest. Mouth feels dense of caramel. Great.
