Nitro at Spuyten Duyvil. Pours near black with plenty of beige head. Aroma of cocoa and vanilla shockingly enough. The lacing on this beast was something else, leaving a spider-web down the entire glass. Flavor is lovely, with lots of sweet chocolate and vanilla. The taste of this greatly outperforms ST Choklat; it doesn’t feel forced at all. Palate was average and finished with chocolate and coffee. So glad I was able to try this. It’s damn good.

On nitro at SD. Deep dark chocolate brown in color with a nice off white creamy head. Chocolatety vanilla and roasty aroma. Dark fruity notes. Roasty caramel chocolatety flavorMalty roasty vanilla notes. Finish is bittersweet chocolate. Wow. Very nice beer. Very enjoyable.

Nitro at Spuyten Duyvil: Near black pour with a dense creamy light tan head. The nose has a lot of grainy crystal malt, mild cocoa, vanilla and some herbal notes. Mildly carbonated (it was a nitro pour) The flavor has a medium roast with evident crystal malt graininess, almost wheat germ like. There’s also a very mild herbal character that I picked up, but couldn’t identify specifically. The finish is long and roasty. A well crafted Stout.

Nitro tap at Spuyten Duyvil. Almost black color, creamy head. Great lacing. Chocolate. Again, not very well carbonated. Could have benefitted from sharp bite. Very creamy mouthfeel.
