7/28/2009: Wow, I thought that this would be a good palate cleanser as a precursor to drinking the next beer for rating #2000, but wow, Pabst NA is really not that good! It’s actually more disappointing than I expected. It is super pale in color (barely yellow at all) and has a white head that is there right after the pour and then gone in about a second. It smells like dry dusty water and tastes like slighty sweet dusty water. It is super light and has a grainy texture and far too much carbonation. Regardless, this beer isn’t a drain pour for me, so that earns it a whopping score of 1.0 (anything under 1 is a drain pour in my book)!

12 fl. oz. can (Contains less than 0.5% Alcohol by Volume / B92 9027B) from Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield, Ohio. Rating #30 for this beer.

I remember being in high school and sneaking this from a friend’s older brother’s fridge in his basement bed room. And at 15 we still didn’t drink the whole can.

Poured from the can into a glass to be fair, I usually drink NA beers from the can. It’s a NA, so I do not expect it to stack up against regular beers, but on the other hand, this isn’t even one of my preferred NAs. Like most NAs it pours a very clear gold color, with small bubbles and a light, bubbly white head (almost looks like ginger ale when it settles). The aroma was mostly grainy and corny hops with some adjunct malt. It tasted slightly sour, but was mostly a bitter taste. The carbonation was very low, and the beer was thin, light, and oily in my mouth.

Can. Poured a light clear pale color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Light no character aroma. Light body with a watery texture with soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet short finish. My expectations were met.

Watery, dull, poured with a huge head, but flavor wasn’t too bad, Not something I’d drink again though.

Did this for my 100th rating...why cuz I am sure no one else has...every one saves it for a Floyd or an Alesmith...not me outside the envelope, by the way this beer is not beer it is some grapenut soked in water then strained. Graineeee and noooo buzzz.
