12oz bottle purchased from Metro Joanette in Montreal. Pours black with no head. I mean ZERO head. Nothing. I’ve never quite seen a beer pour this flat ever. I’m concerned the bottle has gone bad. The aroma is of roasted malt, but a bit light. Luckily, the first sip reveals that all is not lost. Oddly enough, there is even a bit of "sparkle" on the tongue that I might associate with carbonation. Flavours are roasted malt and chocolate. The flavour ends with a very nice tanginess.

341ml bottle shared with the Chi-Town crew. Chocolate, molasses, a touch of soy and plenty of roasted malt on the nose. Thick, dark pour. Nearly pitch. Zero carbonation and a gentle swirl produces some nice oily yellow legs. Heavy molasses on the palate. Soy, toasted vanilla, chocolate, mild hops. Viscous and oily mouthfeel. Thanks Drew!

Bottle, courtesy french tickler. Pours a deep dark brown, and features the darkest brown head I’ve ever seen on a beer. Tons of lacing all over the glass. Spicy aroma intrigues me. Caramel, roasted coffee, and some marshmallow? Big roasted coffee flavors, with lots of spices, marshmallow, slight egg and some vanilla. Full-bodied, with a crisp finish. Very well-balanced.
