May 3, 2008 (Dégusté avec french tickler) Biere brune brumeuse avec un mince collet. Odeur un peu sucré, alcohol, pemplemousse, oranges, caramel et jus de raisins. Gout de style médicamenteux. Tres bonne biere!

May 2, 2008 Pours a dark reddish brown with a thick tan head that didnt last as long as most Unibroue products. Smells of dark fruit especially plum, spice, alcohol, and malt. The taste was plum and spice. Light bodied in the mouth with a slick feel. Overall a great beer.

May 1, 2008 Bottle from Party Town. Dark brown color with an average light brown head that diminished slowly and produced good lacing. Good malty, fruit and spice aroma. Medium body with a smooth and dry texture. Full complex fruit and malt sweet flavor with a long complex port finish with a small alcohol tone. This is a standout brew.

Apr 30, 2008 Surprising find at the local shop, no hesitation on my part to uncork this fine treat. Pours a mottled, ruby-brown color. A thin tan head sits on top of the opaque body and produces small spots of lacing. Mellow aroma of port wine filled with lots of dark fruity scents and a lightly interwoven mustiness. Exceptionally smooth mouth feel, I’m sure the few years spent conditioning in the bottle have helped. Slightly sweet and dry, nice and yeasty. Wonderful rich fruity flavors. Thick red wine, plums, and raisins. A complimenting thin mulch-like earthiness adds depth. Well blended flavor, subtle and potent. Nicely aged and very enjoyable.
