Tasted from pint can into shaker. Poured a crystal-clear straw color with tall, persistent head and a little lace. Aromas of corn ethanol, slight alcohol, no real malt or hops. Flavor was mostly neutral with a very mellow maltiness and mild hops balance. Light body, spritzy carbonation, dry lager finish. Harsh and offensive, but perhaps less so than I expected.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2012 Great macro, love the taste and price. A trip back in time to a great beer at a great price. My staple, easy to drink and a good taste. I walked 1.5 miles in a snowstorm, 26 degrees. In a snow-storm and back with a 30 pack stapped to my back on payday. Gave a new meaning to the phrase beer run. Car was not an option. Ya’ll rerate this beer. Beast Ice forever.

Enjoyed directly from 24 oz tallboy - Pros: 5.9% prominently displayed on can / Cons: About everything else. Look, if you are going to go cheap domestic, why not add the extra alcohol content? I can’t discern the difference between this and the multitudes of other big bev pales, so go big! Finish is noticeably tin / alcohol byproducts.

Big-ass can. Clear pale yellow pour, big pure white carbonated head that actually clings to the glass. Stale corn and water all over this mutha - this glass is cold, but man, this would really suck at a little warmer temperature. Bong-able, shotgun-able, drain pour-able.

Just as bad as its brother the beast, only this one comes with more alcohol. Alcohol is really noticeable in this. Tastes sour, maybe I got a bad can.

Off white head, golden yellow, medium carbonisation. Smell of corn, a bit of straw, taste corn, a bit skunky. Lack of bitterness.

Tastes very similiar to milwaukees best but is more alcoholic, good for getting the job done after a long day.

Aroma is essentially non-existent, but a small amount of malt comes through. Taste is similarly bland and is basically carbonated water. Overall it’s at least drinkable.
