Pours a clear caramel copper brew with a creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of mostly grapefruit and citrus zest, a hint of caramel and some tropical fruit. Taste is medium bodied, has mostly grapefruit and citrus flavors with a hint of caramel malt. Verre, en fût, bue sur place le 27 juillet 2008; oeil : brune caramel, petit anneau de mousse, claire, pas d’effervescence, pas de dentelle; nez : houblon, caramel, pamplemousse, petit chausson sale; bouche : houblon, pamplemousse, finale en caramel astringent avec une pointe de pamplemousse, moyennement amère, légèrement sucrée, astringence moyenne, corps moyen-corsé, peu carbonatée; en résumé : bien aimé fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 3, 2008 Draught at the brewpub Copper color, with a creamy head. Quite nice hop aroma, grassy, earthy and a bit fruity too. Good caramel flavor, with a smooth and round mouthfeel and a good body strength; it has a powerful hopping, well aromatic, with a lot of hop oils. Good, at last. crazychuck (16), Canada Jul 19, 2008 Very hoppy aroma. A massive body offsets the hops, but overall the high alcohol unbalances an otherwise excellent beer. CCCP (16), , British Columbia, Canada Jul 19, 2008 Had this from a cask at Central City’s Cask Festival. Cloudy, with a fair amount of particulate. Very thin amber head with a hint of citrus in the nose. Big body. Mildly alcoholic in the end - surprise surprise. This is an excellent IPA. mgermani (862), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 4, 2008 Pours a nice orange with a creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweet with lovely fresh grassy hops. Holy lupulin batman! Nice oily hops, light maltiness, good crisp finish. Astringent, fresh, yum! Good body & carb. Could use a touch more malt. Nice!
