COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It's big and full bodied with lots of roasted malts and balanced with heavy hops to put this imperial in a league of its own.
Previously known as Dark Horse Imperial Stout.

Sample. Black with beige head. Rotated malt, dark fruit aroma. Dark fruit, coffee, roasted malt taste. A very big imperial stout. Very nice.

A coffee aroma with strong bread yeast. Appears like coffee with thin foam and lace. Taste is bitter and sweet, reminds me of the taste of Founders CBS, roasty charred marshmellow, maple syrup, some sour dough bread. Thick mouthfeel, could could be more fizzy. Overall, top notch taste, could use more aroma, but still very good

Tap. Pitch black. No head. Mildly sweet nose. Fairly light, oily body of bourbon sweetness followed by a nice little kick of roasty coffee.

Poured from bottle to tulip. Pours a very viscous and black. Brownish red around the head. Delicious chocolate and coffee on the nose. A slight sweetness comes through as well. Smells slightly like Twizzlers which is great. All of the aromas are confirmed on the palate. Chocolate, coffee a bit of vanilla. Very slightly herbaceous and smoky. The ABV is noticeable but not overwhelming. Absolutely delicious beer. Enjoy this guy.

Pours a thick deep black like burnt motor oil. Dark brown head. Aroma is a nutty mild chocolate with a lot of malt. The flavor is great. Nice roasted malt with molasses and a hint of caramel. Not overly sweet. Great balance. full body. Thick and rich yet easy to drink and very smooth. Excellent.

Wonderful balance. Lots of roast, a little smoke, dark chocolate and a touch of nut. Some peat musk aroma. Medium bitter finish and creamy and thick consistency. Black pour with good mocha head and lacing. Full palate. Tap at Local Option.

Very slight head; very dark brown, very nearly black, color to the beer. Aromas of roasted coffee, molasses and alcohol. Some smoke/tar/charcoal aromas also. The hops are pretty much swamped by the roasted malts, as is often the case with Imperial Stouts. Body is full, with a creamy and slightly oily texture. The carbonation is average. The finish is long with the roasted flavors. The sweetness and alcohol are quite prominent. Overall a very good beer, though lacking the body and complexity of the really outstanding Imperial Stouts.

Bottle from Malt Attacks. Black, small rapidly disappearing brown head. Aroma tobacco, roasted malts, chocolate. Almost no carbonation. Heavy oily texture. Taste dominated by chocolate - Belgian truffles, including the long finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
