robforbes (1083), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jun 17, 2008 had on tap at the travel lodge in san diego (mission valley).
look is golden amber with a smell head, good lacing.
smell of hops and leaves.<be>
taste is hoppy, some citrus, malt in the back, some metallic in the end, touch of caramel. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 1, 2008 Had this in San Diego rather recently at the 4.0 Deli next to State. It had to have been this, unless AB makes another contract brew pale ale. Pours a amber color with a nice head. Aroma is light bread and caramel with little hops. Flavor is almost the same. Mild malt sweetness balanced by light hop bitterness. Whatever. It works, but is run of the mill. Good for AB badlizard (2325), Berkeley, California, USA Aug 7, 2007 Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Faint malty bready aroma. Faint sweet malty taste with a sweet finish. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Jul 26, 2007 It’s back. On tap this date at the Bayside Bar associated with the Bayside Holiday Inn in San Diego. Price was right. Free with a bar ticket. Staff had no idea who was brewing the ale. Light, uncertain, hop aroma. Amber color with a white head. Medium bodied; mildly carbonated. It has malty sweetness well balanced by hop bitter. All the elements are hard to pin down, but it is really well put together. The finish is not quite dry, and the bitter is mediumly strong and persisting. Quite good. Very like an English bitter. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA Sep 7, 2006 i sampled some of this crap like way back in the day at some bar at mission beach where i saw the singer of faith no more play with his new band. it wasnt that bad if i remember correctly, a bit more body and hoppiness to it than bud and way less corn. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jan 1, 2006 I have had this on a number of occations. I just never knew it. A little bit of research got me the answer. The first time it was labeled Riverview Pale. Next it was Roadhouse Pale, then Dakota Pale, then Corvette Pale. Roadhouse and Dakota were touting it as being Redhook, who produces this beer on the west coast.
Yellowy with a decent head. Aromas of citrus and some malts. Flavors were more citrus. A little watered down, but not horrible. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Jul 19, 2005 Draft. Golden beer with a big off-white head. Balanced malt and hops with some caramel. Light hop bitterness. Clean, unoffensive beer AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jan 24, 2005 Found this one on tap at Round Table Pizza. They have it labeled as King Arthur’s Ale. This beer is damn good. Pours amber with a thick lasting head. Aroma is hoppy of citrus and pine. Flavor strikes a nice balance between the malt and hops. Medium bodied. Very smooth drinking beer. I think I might eat at Round Table more often!
