Always curious to try another American macro - thankfully or unthankfully, my travels rarely put me in range of them. Yet here in Ontario one has managed to sneak up into the LCBO shelves. The head is minimal and styrofoamy, the body yellowy and with modest bubbly-ness. The aroma is cardboard and stale hops. The flavour is sweet nothing with a slightly dry finish. Weird cloying aftertaste. Bad for sure, but not the worst thing out there.

Originally rated September 2005. Brewed by Labatt’s in Canada and is at 4.7% ABV. Pours a pale yellow colour with lively carbonation. The white head is fizzy and slightly creamy, but comes back down fast and lacing is minimal. The aroma is mild with cheap water and some malt. Alcohol comes out a bit (a few minutes after the pour is done). Extremely mild taste too, with a watery malt flavour. Hardly any aftertaste, smooth mouthfeel of water. Much cheaper beers out there that are much better. Lighter than a light beer... now I can’t wait to taste their light version of this brew.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2012 12 oz can, I do not rate Busch that high because it does not bring anything to the table. Malty taste. But It was the beer my grandpa always drank. So I drink it for him on occasions.

Ticked this fine product on New Year’s Eve. Pours incredibly pale yellow with a short lived white head. Smells strongly of corn and corn syrup with a touch of metal. Maybe some notes of green apple and straw. Decently sweet in terms of the flavor with quite a bit of corn to it. A touch watery with some of the same apple and straw notes. Not overly offensive, but not very good, either.

12oz can pours pale yellow with white head. Aromas of straw hay some very light cereal and adjuncts such as rice also detected. Flavor is balanced and body is almost medium. Finish is bearable.
