Pours with a small brown espresso swirl head. Aroma is plenty of raisin and plum with some chocolate, plenty of molasses and a little burnt toast. The flavor is fairly dominated by the burnt toast thing, but it’s fairly balanced by plums, a light nuttiness, some dark chocolate, and some cherry. There is plenty of bitterness and the alcohol is mildly intrusive but warming and whiskey like at the same time. curly (548), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 1, 2009 Pours solid black with a thick brown head. Aroma is complex with dark chocolate, vanilla, plum, and sweet roast malt. Taste is alc, cocoa, vanilla, and finishes with bitter roast/hop. Pours a near black with quick fading brown head. Nose is hot, chocolate, roast, bandaid, plastic. Flavor is roast chocolate with a nutty vegetal with a wierd plastic Silky texture. But there is something unusual here that I don’t care for. More like an imperial stout mixed with a nut brown.
