From a 22 oz bottle shared on the road in South Carolina. Pours a hazy amber with a massive creamy off white head. Sweet hoppy aroma. Flavors of caramel and some grassy hops. Really nicely put together. Tasty.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
2009 bottle. Pours golden orange with a small white head. The nose is big caramel, citrus, pine and sweet bread. The taste is high sweet and bitter. Perfect balance with age. The texture is smooth but has some late pop. The body is heavy and the finish is long.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pour clear amber. One of pine hop, slight catty, and some caramel malt. Taste of grapefruit, pine, then malt sweetness, and alcohol, followed by strong mid palate bitterness and nice long finish. More hoppy than most barleywines, a nice example.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Barleywines are not my favorite style of beer. Usually, theyíre much too sweet and too boozy to really work for me. That said, Behemoth is easily one of the best Iíve tried. It is sweet, but not cloyingly so. I donít feel like Iím drinking medicine or something. And though I can feel the alcohol, the beer isnít dominated by an underlying hard liquor element. This is a beer I might actually drink again sometime. Pours a rather hazy, brownish-yellow, with minimal, quickly dissipating head. Thereís a fruity, hoppy aroma and the flavor is a bitter-sweet combination of malt and hops, with a satisfying mouthfeel and bitter finish. My bottle had orange wax on it (2013?).

2012. Unclear, ruby red. Large, lasting, creamy, frothy white head. Aroma is somewhat muted; a hoppy malty balance. Very nice balance. Big Malty and hoppy. Really very smooth and well put together. Very ímeldedí...more so than any other baleywine ive had, and a bit of a pandoras box
