COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark amber wheat beer features fruity and spicy aromas galore. Significant strength underlies the pleasant citric appeal of this bock beer. Redolent with the flavors of harvest fruit, Moonglow typifies the traditional weizenbock-style so thoroughly enjoyed throughout Bavaria. Left unfiltered, its unique yeast strain gives Moonglow a radiance all its own.

Aroma of wheat and fruit with spices. Amber copper color, not as dark as I expected. Weighty mouthfeel and thicker than anticipated. The aroma and flavors were not as strong as I would have liked but well balanced. It definitely had the malty and bready character of a bock with a little something extra. Mild fruit and spice notes on the finish.

Big fan, like a dunkelweizen with a punch. Alcohol warmth is noticeable. Caramel with light banana flavors. Extremely tasty.

Draught. Pours a rather hazy orange-amber color with a rather small white head. Nose had a lot of lighter fruit elements to it. Taste is slightly sweet and quite fruity, yet felt fairly heavy. Just an OK beer to me.

September 2011. From bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. This is probably one of my least favorite styles, but even so, it’s a well made beer.

good exapmple of the style, just not my favorite style by a long shot. bubblegum, pineapples, and bananas dominate the aromas, medium sweetness, with a hefty ABV which i don’t enjoy for this beer. all around well made though.

pours hazy medium dark golden with a small off-white cap, no retention and lacing. caramel, candi, some yeast - but distant from german - spicy and fruity, warming alcohol, slight grainy character - wheat-free though. average to soft carbonation, light to medium body - oily, nice grassy-peppery-spicy finish - nice mouthfeel. still... meh.

(Draught) cloudy copper, fine tan bubbles. Nose of dark fruit, corn, herbal, candi sugar, sweet in general. Taste of raisins, dark dried fruit, pumpernickel, bit green, dark bread. A bit off.

A rich copper beer with an intermittent white lacey head. The aroma is sweet, carmely, chemy and medical. The flavor is.savory carmely wheat. The body medium, thick. The Palate, full, and dry. A decent weizen Bock, but... American.

Wheat, fruit (lemon, orange, grapefruit), flowers, yeasty smell. Strong, and with good spice and bite the flavor hits immediately. Decent lace and a disappearing head accompany a cloudy amber color. Thick body, chewy texture, medium combination. This is a delight.
