COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark amber wheat beer features fruity and spicy aromas galore. Significant strength underlies the pleasant citric appeal of this bock beer. Redolent with the flavors of harvest fruit, Moonglow typifies the traditional weizenbock-style so thoroughly enjoyed throughout Bavaria. Left unfiltered, its unique yeast strain gives Moonglow a radiance all its own.

12 oz bottle from backlog notes. Pours a cloudy orange/caramel brown colorwith a large off white head. The aroma and flavor have banana, caramel, wheat malts, cloves with some citrus character. Good body and mouth feel.

12oz bottle, also by djd07 .. . i didn’t really like this too much .. . deep brown .. mild foam, spots of lacing .. . light mouth .. dirty flavours . . pretty weak effort from victory .. . .

There’s also a law requiring ducks to wear long pants.

--Let me see that!

Well i’ll be darned, long pants!

Bottle that is probably out of date but given to me kindly by Toby. Cloudy dark brown colour. Lasting beige head. Oxidised aroma. Some sweet malts, not a huge amount of German flavour on this. Esters are minimal. Sweet malt and oxidisation.

Bottle as shown. Pours a murky orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is a fruity malt and spice. Light fruity malt with wheat and sweet finish. Very good.

Pretty good weizen bock, medium amber with thin head. Heavy malt masks the wheat backbone of this. Lacks the head of a real German weizen, but mouthfeel and overall body are pretty good. Medium weight winter warmer.

Bottle at the Flying Saucer Garland BeerFeäst. Poured an unfilltered orange with a cream top. Taste of coriander, banana, tropical fruit, and clove. Alcohol was hidden well. Medium carbonation, thin body

Aged 12 oz bottle served in a snifter. Slow but full pour left sediment on the side and bottom of the bottle, with a good bit of suspended sediment in the pour. The body was orange-brown, hazy with a modest and mostly short-lived, bone-colored head. Fruity aroma with a hint of biscuits. Flavorful, with plenty of dark fruits and caramel plus hints of molasses, brown sugar, and spices. Higher ABV evident but in a mostly attractive fashion, in both the aroma and the flavor.

Aroma of wheat and fruit with spices. Amber copper color, not as dark as I expected. Weighty mouthfeel and thicker than anticipated. The aroma and flavors were not as strong as I would have liked but well balanced. It definitely had the malty and bready character of a bock with a little something extra. Mild fruit and spice notes on the finish.
