375 ml corked bottle from Beergium.com
Black body, with a tiny, quickly disappearing, brownish head.
Delicious, rich aroma of bourbon, oak barrel, coconut, vanilla, red wine, some chocolate, booze.
Taste is pretty alcoholic, with bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, some coffee, liquorice, dark and dried fruits.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes alcoholic, warm, pretty astringent, with bourbon, coffee, bitter chocolate, some dark fruits and long-lasting barrel notes.

Tasty, heavy sipper. The nose is amazing, while the taste doesn’t fully live up in my opinion, too much alcohol, but still very enjoyable. A bit less alcohol and this would be quite perfect for me. Overall a great Barley Wine, but not the best I’ve had.

Bottle. Pours black with thin head that clings to the edges. Mild carbonation and boozy vanilla aroma. A bit thin for the style. I like the complexity in the boozy flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mycket god!

Bottle. Pours dark brown in color with a tan head. Dark fruitynyess, vinous notes, some oak with bit of chocolate on the side in aroma. Nice. Vanilla and sweet brown sugary syrup too. Rich. There’s a nice mix between toffee and chocolate together with some dark fruityness in taste. Ripe plums and raisins covered with a whiff of smoke in finish. A really smooth one, and good tasting too.

Bottle, 375ml corked. A very dark brown one, almost flat, but with some beige bubbles. The aroma has lots of dried fruits and alcohol. Prunes, some caramel and chocolate, hints of molasses and raisins. It’s full-bodied and warming on the palate, with some bitterness in the back, trying to deal with the sweetness. Prunes, raisins, caramel, some molasses and chocolate in the flavor. Lasting finish with loads and loads of flavors. It wouldn’t hurt to have this one at a slightly lower ABV, but it’s sure a lovely one anyway. 150314

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma of alcohol, bourbon, roasted malt, chocolate, some soy sauce and grains. Flavor is sweet and warming alcohol, bourbon, oak, caramel, biscuits and grains. Full body, soft carbonation.

Draught. Pours a very dark brown color with a moderate light brown head on there. Nose has some caramel and bourbon mixed in nearly perfect proportion. Taste has a hintnof boze, but remains smooth and slightly sweet with hints of wood and caramel. Really nice brew.

375 ml bottle with print "bourbon 2012". Mahogany color with brown foam. Very powerful aroma: plums, gooseberries, blueberries, jam, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, smoke and alcohol semitone, port, cocoa, coffee, marmalade, vanilla, oak. Powerful wine flavor, mixed with bourbon, vanilla, oak wood, slightly oxidized, forest herbs, caramel. Great example of barley wine!
