Aged 5 years. Well balanced, matured flavor. Best served at room temperature or warm. Yamada-Nishiki rice.

Slowly aged and blessed with precious time, Momotose has mature and mellow flavors that you will never experience in tasting ordinary sakes. The beautiful golden color will make your dining experience more memorable.

Golden-straw colour. Nice legs. Sort of a bland starchy nose. Shaoxing wine with a woody, balsamy aftertaste. Oxidized starchy notes, hints of wood and alcohol. This is one strange brew.

(300ml bottle) Purchased at JustWines in Langford for $34. Clear deep yellow body. Nose of alcohol, bandaid and quality whiskey. I think I like this sake so much more because there isn’t that normal sake aroma of potato or root vegetable. Sweet apple front, strong whiskey melds into a very distinct maple finish. This stuff is wonderful... and super expensive.
