Dry Irish Stout, it has light body, low calories compared to other brews, low carbs and low alcohol, around 4.5%. This is not a heavy beer.
It is brewed with 5# of oysters, shell and all. In an effort to distinguish themselves from the Pub Up The Way, Irish and English brewers would add the local oysters to their brews. There is no distinguishable oyster flavor in the beerbut they add Sea Salt, Calcium and other Minerals that become part of the overall flavor. There are some other micro-brew oyster beers available on a seasonal basis.
