A deep, dense and thoughtful beer with many layers of flavors, from sweet and soothing maltiness to hints of chocolate character and background. All co-mingle into a smooth, silky flavor that is contemplative but robust. While this beer was top fermented keeping true to historic roots of the style, the brew was conditioned as a bottom fermented variation, producing a softer roundness in the final product. 9.2% abv OG 1.080 IBU:23
