This is a smooth, full-bodied beer. A rich "nuts & berries" flavor followed by a coffee-like finish. Based on the traditional English Porter beers ofthe late 1800’s. Originally created for Irish immigrants working the shipping docks in England. They were a hard working lot who wanted a "stout" style brew with more alcohol content to drink during their all too short lunch breaks.
