Inspired by Philadelphia’s rich brewing heritage, this year’s collaborative brew is a lager that was brewed using the Schmidt’s yeast strain. With the malt bill being formulated by Bill Covaleski of Victory and John Trogner of Troegs, and the hopping rates being formulated by Tom Kehoe of Yards and Gordon Grubb of Nodding Head, you should expect nothing short of pure brilliance from this brew. Fizzy, yellow beer? Maybe but certainly not your grandfather’s lager!
