Our brewmaster, Mats Ekholm, was inspired by the red brown granite of the Åland islands when he developed Stallhagen US Red Ale.

Before Prohibition, American Red Ale was a popular variation of the Irish Amber ale in the US. This top-yeast beer was made of domestic, American raw material. The ale is relatively light but clearly hopped with definite aromas of dried strawberries. The full bodied taste has notes of coffee with smokiness from roast coffee.
