Our brewmaster, Hans-Peter Drexler, and Jerome de Rebetez from Brasserie des Franches Montagnes in Switzerland matured some of the famous Aventinus Eisbock in red wine barrels for many months. Enjoy this rich combination of the complex Aventinus Eisbock aromes and the woody character from the wine barrel.
Aventinus Eisbock Barrique welcomes you with an intense raspberry, cherry and vanilla aroma. A very rich and harmonious taste of chocolate, vanilla and berries will explode in your mouth leaving a lasting and pleasant after-taste reminding you of good red wine. I recommend this beer with chocolate and red fruit dessert or a blue cheese. However, as it is so complex that it can easily be enjoyed on its own.
