Pear Wood Smoked Lager, kegged on Halloween, is Upright’s annual German-style rauchbier. Each year a new recipe is made incorporating a different Oregon wood using the brewery’s special malt smoker. The pear wood in this batch provides a pleasantly gentle flavor that pairs up well with the malty dark amber base. Coupled with a soft finish, this beer is easy drinking for smoked beer fans.
