Cask, Special; Also available bottle conditioned
Bad Habit is an Abbey style Triple (8.5%). Inspired by the classic Belgian Triple epitomised by the brothers at Abdij der Trappisten van Westmalle near Antwerp, it is paler and stronger than a dubbel. Brewed with Pilsner malt, malted wheat, malted oats and light sugar, it is hopped with US Citra and Slovenian Dana, and spiced with coriander, dried orange peel and Grains of Paradise. Like Cardinal Syn it has been matured for three months and bottled by hand. The beer pours burnished gold, with a complex and enticing aroma of Easter spices and bitter orange marmalade and a dry finish. The beer should be enjoyed in moderation served elegantly in a chalice or large wine glass, and would make the perfect accompaniment to a creamy, mature soft cheese.
