So what happens when Volker & Steve of The Brewer’s Art and myself realize that we all turn 48 years old within a month of each other? Why, we brew a birthday ale in celebration of course. Act I, the Oliver’s version & Act II, The Brewer’s Art version were brewed to the same recipe but fermented with different yeasts. Ours is a deep chestnut color, exploding with malt flavors and a subtle caramel sweetness with a subtle hop spiciness. Happy birthday to us!
