Usually available in cask as a seasonal special at 4.5% abv., we’ve tweaked the recipe and turned it up a notch or two for this limited edition bottle.
Imperial Black Math is a smooth easy-drinking stout, with a rich roast malt aroma, infused with licorice leading to subtle fruit flavours. The addition of fresh blackcurrants into the fermenter helps to enhance the malt aromas, which carry through to a robust yet rounded mouthfeel, with root liquorice flavours leading into a long finish.
