Description:
Scottish Ales often carried a designation of “Shilling” based upon
the strength of the beer, which then translated into the amount of
tax paid on the beer. Most of you are familiar with Boscos
“90 Shilling Ale”, a strong Scottish style ale we brew every winter.
Our 60 Shilling Ale is not as strong and full bodied
but loaded with both malty and roasty flavors.
