Huvila Stout is a pitch-black, heavy oatmeal stout. The oat gives it a silky-smooth character, balancing the dry roastiness originating from roasted barley. The aroma is strongly roasty, coffee-like and slightly spicy. The flavor is strong, smooth and full-bodied, and the aftertaste is long, roasty and warming. The recipe has been developed with help of Pekka Salminen, a beer enthusiast from Turku. Ingredients: water, light and dark caramel malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, oatmeal, Hallertau Perle hops, Irish ale top yeast. Gravity 17.5%, bitterness: 35 EBU, color: 280 EBC. Serve between 10 and 14 degrees C.
