Bavarian style wheat beer that has seen a phenomenal renaissance in its native Germany. This beer uses 60% wheat malt and is fermented with a special yeast originating in the Weihenstephan brewery of Munich, which give it its unmistakable flavour and aroma of cloves and bananas. This beer is unfiltered and cloudy, retaining a healthy (in the true sense of the word) amount of yeast (Hefe in German). Voted best domestically brewed beer at the 2006 Calgary International Beer Festival.
